Cycle Length: N/A. Taken 30-60 minutes prior to sexual activity to manage Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) or any other condition which causes persistent low sexual desire that is not attributed to an existing medical or psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or medication side effects.
Dosing Times: Any time.
Onset Time: 30-60 minutes (always dose 30-60 minutes prior to sexual activity).
Additional Considerations: Does not require administration during a fasted state, as the intranasal administration bypasses the gastrointestinal tract.
Storage: Atomizer should be refrigerated.
Administration: Intranasal spray. Always split dose between both nostrils as much as possible. This is because it increases the mucosal surface area exposed to the solution, decreases runoff into the throat/loss from swallowing, and allows for more consistent absorption because nasal airflow, congestion, mucus, and the normal nasal cycle may make one nostril less effective than the other at any given time. Proper technique is important. DO NOT TILT YOUR HEAD BACK to dose. With your head tipped forward, tilt your atomizer towards the outside of your nose/outside corner of your eye, then sniff the spray gently.
Dispense Rate: 100mcg/spray.
Initial dose should consist of 3-4 sprays (300-400mcg) 30-60 minutes prior to sexual activity.
Over time, gradually increase dose as needed to achieve results. It is recommended that each increase consist of adding another 2-4 days, and sustaining that until tolerated before increasing again. Never take more than one dose within 24 hours, and no more than 8 doses per month.
NOTE: Research trials have consistently used doses in the 10-20MG range without adverse effects. Therefore we are not recommending a maximum/ capped dose, as even the entire atomizer’s contents would be safe, as long as you increase that dose gradually over time.
DOSING LIMITATIONS: Not to exceed one dose in 24 hours, or 8 doses per month.
