BPC-157

BPC (Body Protection Compound) -157, a naturally occurring peptide found in human stomach juices (and in the gastric fluids of some other mammals) that works by stimulating agiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels). It accelerates the wound-healing process through multiple mechanisms; is a potent anti-inflammatory; and has antioxidant benefits (protects from oxidative stress and damage). Well tolerated by most, this is one of the most popular peptides in the industry for its usefulness in treating a broad spectrum of injuries and ailments.

Benefits

  • Enhances muscle recovery.
  • Reduces inflammation, leading to a significant positive impact on the central nervous system (CNS), muscles, tendons, and damaged tissues.
  • Increases muscle hypertrophy and strength.
  • Supports tendon-to-bone healing.
  • Stimulates collagen synthesis, resulting in anti-aging effects as the condition of the skin is improved, diminishes wrinkles, restores thickness to age-thinned skin, and improves elasticity.  Promotes hair growth.
  • Leads to the formation of new blood vessels, which in turn improves vasculature, blood flow, and oxygenation of cardiovascular tissues.
  • When injected in a region with scar tissue, it leads to a reduction in that scar tissue.
  • Reduces fat mass.
  • Protects against free radical damage to protect the brain and preserve brain function after exposure to harmful substances.
  • Preserves and improves memory.
  • Helps with mood regulation.
  • Increases bone density.
  • Reduces cartilage lesions and joint pain for improved leg mobility
  • Interfers with the mechanisms that involved in ulcer formation; accelerates the rebuilding of stomach tissues.
  • Elevates dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain, leading to analgesic (pain-relieving) effects.
  • Accelerated healing of the colon in those with inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Improves tendon, bone, and ligament healing by boosting levels of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF).
  • Normalizes blood pressure: in those with low blood pressure, it exerts hypertensive effects by increasing blood pressure to within normal range; for those who have high blood pressure, it causes blood vessels to dilate, thus decreasing blood pressure.
  • Prevents heart failure caused by potassium imbalance; protects against heart failure by restoring normal rhythm and electrial activities following potassium overdose; stabilizes heart rhythm of those suffering from potassium deficiency.
  • Counteracts life-threatening conditions associated with hypercalcemia.
  • Prevents severe side effects from many medications, including many medications for diabetes and psychiatric conditions. Combats catalepsy, somatosensory disturbance, and QT prolongation in the heart.

  • Has antioxidant properties.
  • Helps to reverse the adverse effects of acute and chronic alcohol intoxication.
  • For Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) sufferers, it reduces unconsciousness and lowers the prevalence of TBI-related deaths.
  • For those with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), BPC administration decreases brain damage and other clinical abnormalities.
  • Counteracts ischemic/reperfusion injuries (tissue damage caused when blood supply returns after a period of insufficient blood circulation in the brain), resulting in improved memory, orientation, and motor function.
  • May possess anti-cancer activity by inducing programmed cell death (apoptosis) of cancer cells, and assembling and forming pores that disrupt the structures of cancer cells.

Plays a key roll in the Gut/Brain Axis

The gut-brain axis is the direct line of communication between the nervous system and the digestive system. Digestive health impacts neurological health and cognitive function to a substantial degree; it can protect the cells lining the gastrointestinal tract; impacts neurotransmitter balance; is being explored for potential treatments for anxiety and depression; reduces symptoms from ulcers, bowel disorders, Crohn’s disease, and other conditions where the gut-brain communication is disrupted; balances the microbial population in the gut.

  • In those with liver or kidney disease, BPC-157 may put additional strain on those organs.
  • Exercise caution if you have a heart condition, as BPC-157 may cause a rise in blood pressure.

Subcutaneous or Intramuscular administration?

Subcutaneous:

Pro’s: Provides systemic benefits by entering the bloodstream and circulating throughout the body; good for both general healing and healing multiple injuries.

Con’s: Absorption is slower than in IM injections.

Intramuscular:

Pro’s: Faster absorption and more noticeable effects. Suitable for acute injuries, post-surgery recovery, or severe inflammation where quick effects are needed. Can be used for general benefits and systemic benefits and is also recommended for targeted pain relief, especially localized injections near the affected area. Con’s: Some may consider IM injections to be more difficult and/or more painful.

TB-500

A derivative of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring compound that is primarily synthesized by the thymus gland, and artificially synthesized in a laboratory. TB-500 promotes and accelerates wound healing, muscle repair, bone, joint and tissue strength, endothelial health, and is used for anti-aging, injury recovery, the reduction of inflammation, cardiovascular health, and to treat the symptoms of arthritis, tendonitis, and other inflammatory diseases. It is one of the best peptides for ligament and tendon repair, stimulates collagen synthesis.

Benefits

• Boosts the immune system: increases the levels of white blood cells and antibodies, strengthening the immune system and protecting against a wide array of diseases. Heightens immune response through a number of mechanisms, including:

  • Inhibits white blood cell infiltration and decreases levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines
  • Has antiviral properties
  • Enhances the ability of antibodies to bind with antigens (toxins or other foreign substances) to easily destroy foreign invaders and remove them from the body
  • Exerts therapeutic immune-benefits in the treatment of primary immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases

• Improves cardiovascular health: prevents the death of heart muscle cells, stimulates vessel growth, activates heart stem cells to initiate regeneration; promotes the migration and survival of heart muscle cells in patients with ischemic heart disease; improved left ventricular function after myocardial infarction; promotes cardiac wound healing

• Improves liver health: suppresses the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), which are the main matrix-producing cells in the process of liver fibrosis; anti-inflammatory and anti-scarring properties which prevent liver scarring; stimulates liver regeneration through promotion of liver cell migration, blood vessel formation, and stem cell maturation; inhibits oxidative stress; inhibits the production of substances which promote liver scarring

TB-500 vs TB4: What is the difference?

While both iterations are generally referred to as “Thymosin Beta 4,” they do have differences in their molecular structures: TB-500 is actually a fragment of TB4. Fragments may not have all of the same biological function as the full-length peptide. In this particular case, however, both versions effectively promote tissue repair and regeneration and reduce inflammation.

Possible Side Effects (typically minor and temporary)

• Injection site reaction (redness, swelling, itching, and/or hives)
• Dizziness
• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Nausea
• Muscle pain
• Flu-like symptoms (rare)
• May contribute to bloating in those with Irritable Bowel Syndrome

TB-500 influences muscle contractions by regulating the proteins actin and myosin. However, overstimulation of actin and myosin due to incorrect dosing may cause spasms or affect muscle contractions.

Most side effects are minor and will disappear as the body adapts to the peptide

LARAZOTIDE

Larazotide is a synthetic, orally administered 8 amino acid peptide that modulates Zonulin. Over time as we digest food and our intestinal epithelial cells become damaged, they develop gaps or even become stuck open. This damage can be caused in a number of ways, including inflammation, pathogenic bacteria, inflammatory foods (seed oils, foods with high sugar content), alcohol, drugs, and and many more along those lines. This allows food molecules into our bloodstream, which causes anything from bloating to abdominal pain, indigestion to automimmune conditions. Larazotide tightens these gaps back up, decreasing intestinal permeability and allowing gut to heal.
