GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2)

GHRP-2 is a synthetic peptide and ghrelin agonist that binds to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R). It stimulates the pituitary gland to release growth hormone (GH) in short, powerful pulses, making it a potent tool for muscle building, fat loss, anti-aging, and cardiovascular protection. It is especially popular among bodybuilders and athletes for fast lean mass gains.

Mechanism of Action

GHRP-2 mimics ghrelin, a hunger hormone produced in the stomach. This interaction:

  • Stimulates GH release
  • Increases appetite
  • Enhances insulin regulation
  • Promotes cardiovascular and immune protection

Key Benefits

  • Increases growth hormone secretion via GHS-R binding
  • Enhances lean muscle growth and prevents muscle breakdown
  • Promotes lipolysis and reduces body fat
  • Strengthens bones and supports calcium regulation
  • Stimulates appetite (can assist with bulking)
  • Offers anti-aging and neuroprotective effects
  • Improves sleep quality and REM cycles
  • Supports heart cell survival and repair
  • Enhances thymic function and immune response
  • May reduce liver inflammation and stimulate healing via localized stem cell activity
  • Boosts mood and reduces impulsivity

GHRP-2 vs GHRP-6

Similarities:

  • Both mimic ghrelin to stimulate GH
  • Both cause short bursts (pulses) of GH release
  • Both effective for mass gain and body recomposition

Differences:

  • GHRP-2 causes stronger hunger stimulation than GHRP-6
  • GHRP-2 is more potent overall
  • GHRP-2: fatigue and desensitization risk
  • GHRP-6: more water retention and milder appetite effect

Common Side Effects

  • Increased hunger
  • Water retention or bloating
  • Fatigue or lethargy
  • Elevated blood sugar levels
  • Injection site irritation (redness, itching, swelling)

Contraindications

Do not use GHRP-2 if:

  • You are allergic or hypersensitive to GHRP-2
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have active cancer
  • You have a late-stage or severe brain disorder

Can It Be Taken Orally or Sublingually?

No. GHRP-2 is a peptide, and like most peptides, it is destroyed in the digestive tract. Oral, sublingual, or nasal forms are not effective due to low bioavailability. It must be injected subcutaneously.

GHRP-2: 10MG

Mix with 3mL (300 units) of BAC water
Use 0.3mL (30 unit) insulin syringes for precise low-dose measurement
Subcutaneous administration
Cycle length: 8โ€“12 weeks followed by a 4-week washout

Dosing Guidelines

Anti-Aging Protocol:

  • 6 units = 150mcg, once daily before bedtime

Performance / Muscle-Building Protocol:

  • 6โ€“9 units = 150โ€“300mcg per day, split across 2โ€“3 doses:
    • 2x/day: Morning (upon waking), Night (1+ hr after dinner)
    • 3x/day: Morning, Post-workout, Night

Unit Conversion Guide

  • 2 units = 50mcg
  • 3 units = 75mcg
  • 4 units = 100mcg
  • 5 units = 125mcg
  • 6 units = 150mcg
  • 9 units = 300mcg
